What is a good obp?

A good OBP, or On Base Percentage, is a statistical measure used in baseball to determine a player's ability to reach base. It is calculated by dividing the number of times a player reaches base (hits, walks, and hit by pitches) by the total number of plate appearances. A good OBP indicates that the player is skilled at getting on base and can be a valuable asset to their team's offensive efforts. In general, a good OBP is considered to be around .350 or above, although this may vary depending on the league and the player's position. Players with high OBP values tend to be patient at the plate, have good batting skills, and are often used at the top of their team's batting order to set the table for the rest of the lineup.
